If you’re listening, here’s my suggestion. Pump up that GDP, either with tax breaks or other incentives. Put the inmates and homeless to work and give them a modest salary. Tax the rich some more, but not corporate. And take it easy on the bailouts, especially AIG. Feel free to send Palin to Guantanamo, while you still can. She must be stopped.

Several months ago I was surprised to see that about 18 American states had filed a statute of secession from America. Now in South Carolina they want to ban the American dollar in paper money form.

Serious blow to the federal reserve?  Could be but they keep on printing that paper money.

Gorgonzola!  And for the Canadians in the crowd, not to feel left out, what’s the latest on Quebec.

Dare I say, does it look like the US dollar will default?  And with America’s global agitation of other places and being seen now, not as the world police but more like the neighborhood bully, Karmic thought tells me it’s just gonna snap back and whack them in the ass.  America was the darling of the world in the 50’s and 60’s.  Yes those were the days when America made stuff, when Made in America meant something, to the folks who made it and the folks who received it.  Quality.  Then came the efficiency experts and their coup happened as a pivot of 9/11.  The accountants became consultants and told management the many ways of cutback and scale down.  And management bought it because all they know how to do is read the bottom line.

And now this?  South Carolina bans its own US currency?

A friend from West Virginia says “If America goes down, it will take the world with it. I don’t think the Chinese are going to let that happen (at least for now). It is lending money to the U.S.  continuously to keep it’s biggest customer alive. The world today ,i.e. the ‘Global Marketplace’ is so entangled that no country can afford to let any of the major players sink. If and when it happens we all go down.”

Interesting point but makes me think of the phrase, ‘too big to fail’.  Sounds like famous last words.

When the Chinese wanted to truly curse someone they would say, may you live in interesting times.  Not a peaceful gesture. Personally I think we live in thee most interesting time.  Not only that, we can see it on tv and the net virtually as it unfolds before our eyes..

Are we as consumers that make the wheels turn allowed to ask, how about a return to better quality.?   Not just better quality in goods but also government.
